Novel Bioactive Lipids From Ethylene Glycol

Invention relates to novel bioactive lipids, which are obtained from ethylene glycol by trans esterification of fatty acid esters with ethylene glycol. The novel lipid products obtained from ethylene glycol are bioactive and can be used as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, wound healing, anti-obesity and as anti-cancer agents and can also be used as non-ionic surfactant.
