Micro Vision, Inc. Signs Patent License Agreement with Taiwanese ODM to make and sell LBS engines.

Nov 21, 2016,MicroVision, Inc. (hereinafter referred as “MVIS”),has announced that it has signed a license agreement for its PicoP® scanning technology with a Taiwanese ODM, under which the ODM has a license to make and sell Laser Beam Scanning (hereinafter referred as “LBS” ) engines.[1] The engines, ODM is manufacturing incorporate components it is purchasing from third parties. Under the agreement, MVIS would receive a royalty payment from the ODM for each LBS engine the ODM sells.

MVIS based in Redmond, Wash, is the creator of PicoP® scanning technology. This is an ultra-miniature laser projection and sensing solution based on the laser beam scanning methodology. MVIS, a pioneer in scanning technology and getting rights to utilize its platform approach for advanced display and sensing solution means that it can be adapted to a wide array of applications and form factors. Extensive research has headed MVIS to become an independently recognized leader in the development of intellectual property. MVIS IP portfolio has been recognized by the Patent Board as a top 50 IP portfolio among global industrial companies and has been included in the Ocean Tomo 300 Patent Index.
