Sushama is a Senior Patent Associate at IIPRD and Khurana & Khurana. Sushama is a Registered Patent Agent (India) (IN/PA 5901) and holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology along with an LL.B. (Hons.) in Intellectual Property Law from IIT Kharagpur. Sushama has over 4 years of experience in the IT domain and over 3 years of experience in the IP domain, relating to technologies in the fields of electronics, semiconductors, telecommunications, mechanical engineering, software, automobiles, and electrical engineering. Sushama has expertise in patent drafting, novelty searches, patent invalidity searches, freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches, patent claim-chart preparation and claim analysis, patent-infringement analysis, and preparing office-action responses. Prior to joining Khurana & Khurana, Sushama worked with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., where she handled patentability searches, infringement analysis, claim-chart preparation, and client communication. Sushama has been associated with Khurana & Khurana for over a year as a Senior Patent Associate and is responsible for patent drafting and prosecution along with client communication.
