Meenakshi is a Partner and Patent Attorney at IIPRD and Khurana & Khurana. Meenakshi has over 21 years of experience in the patents domain. Meenakshi is involved in patent-application preparation and prosecution, infringement and validity opinions, freedom-to-operate assessments, patent-licensing studies, and counselling clients on global patent-strategy development. Meenakshi’s primary areas of specialisation include pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology subject matter, including small molecules, new chemical entities, pharmaceutical formulations and drug-delivery technologies, crystalline forms, stereo isomers, organic and inorganic chemistry, peptide chemistry, biochemistry, and biotechnology-related subject-matters. Meenakshi began a career in patents in 2005 with Panacea Biotech Ltd. in the New Drug Discovery R&D Group, focusing on patent drafting, searching, designing-around strategies, and filing and prosecution strategies. Meenakshi is a Registered Patent Agent admitted to practice before the Indian Patent Office. Meenakshi holds a B.Sc. (Chemistry Hons.) and an M.Sc. (Chemistry Hons.) from Panjab University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Patent Law from NALSAR University, and additional IP certifications from WIPO. Meenakshi also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and is a member of APAA and ABLE.
