Dr. Priya Dagar is a Senior Patent Associate at Khurana and Khurana with almost 3 yrs. experience in patent prosecution and drafting, with particular focus on Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning domains. She holds a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from IIT (BHU), double Masters in Machine Learning and Artificial Engineering from IIIT Bangalore & Liverpool University, a master’s in Biotechnology from Bangalore University, a PG Diploma in Patent Law from NALSAR and she is a registered Patent Agent. Her practice encompasses drafting comprehensive patent specifications, preparing responses to First Examination Reports, representing clients at hearings before Controllers, and formulating responses to office actions issued by foreign patent offices. She has authored multiple research papers in prestigious journals and has been granted a patent for potential antidote against snake venom. Prior to joining Khurana and Khurana, she served as Senior Patent Associate at Arctic Invent, Noida, where she developed expertise in drafting EP, GB, and Sweden responses utilizing the problem-solution approach and Pozzoli approach. Before that, she was with LexOrbis, Delhi, where she developed substantial expertise in patent specification drafting and FER response preparation.
