Dayanand is a Principal Associate at Khurana & Khurana and IIPRD. He is a registered Patent Agent and holds a Master’s degree in Chemistry, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Law.
He has over 15 years of experience in patent portfolio management and advisory, with a focus on technologies in the fields of chemical sciences, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnology.
Dayanand is actively involved in drafting patent specifications and handling patent prosecution and opposition matters. He possesses extensive experience in conducting patent searches, freedom-to-operate analyses, and landscape studies, as well as in patent drafting and prosecution, with a strong focus on enabling IP-led business decision-making. His expertise further includes patent due diligence, rendering infringement and validity opinions, and providing support in IP litigation matters.
He has rejoined Khurana & Khurana, having previously been associated with the firm. Prior to rejoining, he was part of the in-house IP teams of research-driven global pharmaceutical companies. Earlier in his career, he was associated with a leading global provider of intellectual property intelligence.
