Meenakshi is a Partner (Consultant) in the Litigation Department at IIPRD and Khurana & Khurana. Meenakshi graduated in Psychology (Hons.) from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi in 1994 and completed an LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in 1997. In 2009, Meenakshi also obtained a Certificate in American and International Law from the Academy of American and International Law, Texas, USA. Meenakshi has over 29 years of experience in conducting litigation before courts and tribunals across India, including the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, District Courts, Debt Recovery Tribunals, the National Company Law Tribunal, and Consumer Foras/Commissions. Meenakshi has also conducted arbitrations, along with attending to and providing litigation support, both pre-litigation and during the proceedings, to protect the interests of the clients. Meenakshi has handled matters pertaining to Intellectual Property Rights disputes; commercial disputes, including contractual disputes and interpretation of contracts, recovery of dues, claims for damages; also represented banks for recovery of their dues before the Debt Recovery Tribunals under the DRT Act as well as under the SARFAESI Act, including recovery suits on behalf of banks and matters relating to negotiable instruments, pledges on behalf of banks; company law, which includes oppression and mismanagement, insolvency, rectification of register; invoking and/or defending, on behalf of corporates as well as individuals, matters involving the writ jurisdiction of the High Court and Supreme Court of India; labour and service matters; matters pertaining to consumer law involving deficiency in service and/or defect in goods. Meenakshi brings many years of expertise in drafting various agreements and contract documentation, which include Assignment Deeds, Share Purchase Agreements, Distributor Agreements, Leases, Licenses, Memoranda of Understanding, Family Settlement Agreements, Powers of Attorney, Wills, Gift Deeds.
