Varun heads the IP Valuation Practice at Khurana & Khurana and its IP consulting arm, IIPRD, and has over 23 years of experience in IP commercialisation and Licensing Matters from the Financial Perspective. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Varun holds multiple qualifications including ACA, AICWA, CISA, ISA (ICAI), LL.B., and ISMS Lead Auditor (ISO 27001), and specialises in the valuation of intellectual property assets. Varun has been involved in over 250 licensing transactions undertaken by Khurana & Khurana and IIPRD and has assisted clients in valuing IP portfolios and technology assets across diverse industries. Varun has also been directly engaged in negotiations relating to both in-licensing and out-licensing transactions and has developed deep expertise in precise IP valuation through comprehensive patent/IP analysis and market-based assessment. Varun works closely with the Patent Attorneys at Khurana & Khurana to support end-to-end IP commercialisation process for technologies engaged by K&K/IIPRD for licensing.
