Meenakshi Ogra Mukherjee

Meenakshi is an Associate Partner(Consultant) in the Litigation Department at Khurana & Khurana. Having graduated in the year 1994 in Psychology (Hons.) from Lady Shriram College, University of Delhi, she also completed her LL.B from the University of Delhi’s Campus Law Centre in the year 1997. In the year 2009, she also acquired a certificate in American and International Law from the Academy of American and International law, Texas, United States of America. She has more than 26 years of experience in conducting litigation in Courts in India, including Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, District Courts alongwith Tribunals/ Foras/ Commissions. Meenakshi has worked and appeared not only in the Supreme Court of India, but has also been regularly appearing before various High Courts and other District Courts, but also represented corporate clients and individuals before Tribunals such as Debt Recovery Tribunal, National Company Law Tribunal with regular appearances before various Consumer Foras/ Commissions. She has also conducted Arbitrations along with attending to and providing litigation support, both pre-litigation and during the proceedings, to protect the interests of the client.

She has handled matters pertaining to Intellectual Property Rights disputes; commercial disputes, including contractual disputes and interpretation of contracts, recovery of dues, claim for damages; also represented Banks for recovery of their dues before the Debt Recovery Tribunals, under DRT Act as well as under SARFAESI Act, including recovery suits on behalf of Banks and matters relating to negotiable instruments, pledges etc. on behalf of Banks; Company law, which includes oppression and mismanagement, Insolvency, rectification of register etc.; invoking and/or defending on behalf of corporates as well as individuals involving Writ jurisdiction of High Court and Supreme Court of India; labour and service matters; matters pertaining to Consumer law involving deficiency in service and/or defect in goods.

She brings many years of expertise in drafting various agreements, and contract documentation, which include Assignment deeds, Share Purchase Agreement, Distributor Agreement, Leases, Licenses, Memorandum of Understanding, Family Settlement Agreements, Power of Attorneys, Wills, Gift Deed etc.
